CT Scanning

CT, Computerised Tomography, has reached an advanced stage in Australia. Our scanners provide high resolution spiral imaging and multi image reformation.

The technique of imaging blood vessels using CT is called CT Angiography. Scanning is performed while contrast media is infused through a vein in the patient's arm.
The following regions are able to be seen in 3D images:
· Circle of Willis at the base of the brain,
· Extracranial Carotid Arteries,
· Aorta,
· Renal Arteries,
· Splenic Vessels,
· Ilio-femoral Arteries,
· Pulmonary Arteries

CT Scanning facilities are available at the following clinics: Greensborough, Lalor, Northland and Reservoir.
