Mammography & BreastScreen

Radar Medical Imaging provides mammography breast imaging for General Practitioners and Specialists. RANZCR Accreditation requires strict quality control over image resolution and film processing.

Mammography facilities are available at Bundoora, Greensborough, Heidelberg, Lalor, Northland and Reservoir clinics.
We also perform:

· Fine Needle Aspiration (FNA) using ultrasound,
· Breast Core biopsy , also uses ultrasound to provide a tissue sample for pathology.

BreastScreen is a Government funded program. As the name suggests it is a screening service and is available to women who don't have any medical reasons for having a mammogram but who would like a 'check up'. In fact all women over the age of 50 are encouraged to join this free service.
Appointments can be made by ringing 13 20 50.
