Radar Medical Imaging has been providing MRI services at our Bundoora practice since 1999. Our  MR Radiologist’s have a vast amount of clinical experience, and our Senior MR Technologist has over 20 years experience of clinical scanning.

Our original focus was on providing routine Neuro, musculoskeletal and some abdominal imaging to the local community, provided on the Hitachi Airis II open architecture system, the only one of its kind in Australia.

With the introduction of the new Espree scanner we will continue our patient focused approach to MRI, again providing the best scanner available to help claustrophobic and larger patients successfully complete their scan.

The new system will also provide exquisite Brain and Spine images much faster than previously possible, with an integrated imaging system called Tim (Total Imaging Matrix). We have acquired dedicated imaging coils for all joints, again to optimise musculoskeletal examinations. Abdominal imaging is now also faster, at higher resolution and much simpler with the introduction of dedicated coils and imaging software, again all in the comfort of the largest bore scanner available.

Our new 1.5T Wide Bore Open MRI scanner is now in operation at our Bundoora site.

The Siemens Espree system is a market leader in providing high resolution scans with short scan times combined with the widest and shortest bore available, ideal for claustrophobic, large or paediatric patients.
